Interns

---

Internships are generally offered for a duration of four weeks. During the 4 week internship, you will be actively working on a Deep Learning based project. Initially, we will host a crash course for you to cover the basic concepts related to Deep Learning. Subsequently, you will be engaged with a faculty-mentor to work on an end-to-end Deep Learning project.

Before joining, we recommend you to brush up your coding skills and concepts of machine learning and ANNs. Proficiency in at least one coding language is necessary. Python is highly recommended, although not mandatory.

Currently there is no stipend offered to interns. The hostel/mess facility of Bennett University can be availed by paying the requisite fee. The amount for 4 weeks (which includes hostel, laundry and food & snacks) is Rs. 17000/-. For anyone who wants to stay longer (for the purpose of satisfying the internship requirements of your University), the amount will be Rs. 600/- per additional day. (Note: This includes the registration charges for three-day exhaustive workshop on Deep Learning.)

It is highly recommended that you stay in the hostel so that you can devote full energy towards your project and obtain full benefit from the Internship.

In a special case, if someone does not need the hostel facility, then you need to pay Rs. 3000/- (Non-refundable amount) which includes the registration charges for the three-day workshop on Deep Learning.

Sabbaticals

Sabbaticals opportunities are available for a duration ranging from 4 weeks to one semester. In order to undertake a sabbatical with us, you must have first undertaken our “AI and Deep Learning workshop” which is being conducted at several locations across the country.

Sabbatical benefits:

• Learning cutting edge tools and technologies in our labs

You are expected to make your application to us with a “plan of research work”. During the sabbatical, you will actively pursue research in the broad area of Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning. You will work under the guidance of a faculty-mentor and work towards clearly defined goals.

Sabbatical for faculty members in India/abroad:

We expect the sabbatical candidates to be supported by their home institution in terms of salary for the duration of sabbatical.

Sabbatical for Industry professionals:

We also support sabbaticals for Industry professionals willing to spend time in academia for performing collaborative research and teaching activities.

Hostel/mess facility of the Institute can availed by paying the requisite fee. The amount for 4 weeks (which includes hostel & electricity, laundry, and food & snacks) is Rs. 15000/-. For longer durations, the amount will be Rs. 3000/- per additional week.

If you withdraw before starting the sabbatical, then 2000/- will be deducted and remaining will be refunded back. However, no refund is possible, if you leave the program after joining due to any reason whatsoever.

It is highly recommended that you stay in the hostel so that you can devote full energy towards your project and obtain full benefit from the Sabbatical.
