About the work

Empower Global Tech AI Pvt. Ltd. is the engine behind LeadingIndia.ai, one of India's largest AI skilling initiatives, trusted by 1.03M+ students and 1.1K+ academic institutions. We are expanding our ecosystem by building and relaunching important digital platforms including LeadingIndia.ai, AITechInfluencer.com, our AI media and knowledge platform, and AlgorithmGuru.in, our competitive coding and algorithm learning platform. This is not a routine graphic-design or social-media-design internship. We are looking for UI/UX interns who can help shape real product experiences from the ground up. The selected intern will work directly with the founders, lead developer, and development team to design clean, usable, mobile-first, AI-ready, persona-led interfaces for students, faculty, institutions, and administrators.

Responsibilities

1. User flows and wireframes: Design clear user journeys for students, faculty, college administrators, trainers, and internal operations teams across LeadingIndia.ai, AlgorithmGuru.in and other sites.
2. Persona creation and persona-led design: Create practical personas for students, faculty, HODs, principals, placement officers, trainers, and internal admins, then use those personas to design flows, screens, copy, and edge cases instead of designing generic pages.
3. Product interface design: Create responsive web and mobile-first UI screens for landing pages, dashboards, coding practice flows, registration pages, member portals, content pages, and admin workflows.
4. AlgorithmGuru.in experience: Help design a student-friendly coding platform where learners can read problems, write Python code, run submissions, see results, track assignments, and improve through practice.
5. A new Media Website experience: Help design clean layouts for AI articles, newsletters, interviews, research explainers, topic pages, author pages, and media-led discovery experiences.
6. LeadingIndia.ai membership and institutional flows: Improve UX for institutional registration, membership discovery, partner onboarding, programme pages, workshop pages, and dashboards.
7. Design systems and reusable components: Build consistent buttons, cards, forms, navigation patterns, typography, spacing, icons, and UI components that developers can reuse across platforms.
8. Developer handoff: Prepare Figma files, prototypes, annotations, assets, interaction notes, and responsive behaviour details so developers can implement designs accurately.
9. UX research and testing: Review competitor platforms, collect feedback from users, identify friction points, and improve designs based on real usage and founder/developer feedback.
10. Responsible AI-assisted design: Use AI tools for brainstorming, UX review, copy suggestions, layout exploration, and speed, but take full ownership of design decisions and final output.

Who can apply

1. Product-minded designers: You should care about user journeys, clarity, usability, and business goals, not just attractive screens.
2. 0-to-1 builders: We are building new platforms from scratch. You should be comfortable with ambiguity and willing to improve designs quickly through iteration.
3. Mobile-first thinkers: Many users will discover and use our platforms on mobile. Your designs should work well on small screens before they scale to desktop.
4. Designers who understand developers: You do not need to be a developer, but you should understand how web pages are built and create designs that are practical to implement.
5. Clear communicators: Since this is a remote internship, you should be able to explain design choices, share progress, ask questions, and document your work clearly.
6. Responsible AI users: You may use tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Figma AI, Uizard, Framer AI, or other AI tools, but the final design must show your own thinking, judgment, and ownership.

Other requirements

1. Portfolio link with UI/UX case studies, Figma files, Behance, Dribbble, website links, or design samples
2. Experience designing SaaS, edtech, learning platforms, coding platforms, dashboards, newsletters, or media websites
3. Basic understanding of React / Next.js component-based interfaces
4. Familiarity with design systems, component libraries, and developer handoff practices
5. Understanding of accessibility, readable typography, colour contrast, and inclusive design
6. Experience with Framer, Web flow, Canva, Adobe XD, Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar tools
7. Interest in AI, algorithms, competitive coding, education technology, or student learning platforms
